The Paper Players - Challenge #206: A Sketch Challenge

Well I had a wonderful time at convention and it was sad to see it end. I got to see so many of my online friends... and it was awesome to see all the different things going on, displays, classed, swaps, get togethers and meeting a few of my favorite people... too!!!
But its time to get back to real life, sad but true!  I did want to shout out to Justin and Brian... those guys rock!
When I started a little over a year ago, they were who I learned  what a card should be.... beautiful and make them your own!
If you don't already know them please click on the links above and visit their blogs!!! You're gonna need your coffee you may be busy for a while!!!

I've got a really cute card for the Paper Players challenge, I've done some (a lot) of spritzin' on a watercolor sheet, and I used my striped scallop thinlit die to create the background(see colors below). For a bit of dazzle I added some Gold Sequin Trim, some small banners, and the new Watercolor Thank You stamp... to complete my card... Justin and Brian, thank you for all you do... and your incredible artistry!
Thanks for stopping by!

CYCI29 - A color challenge

Well now welcome to another week... and our 29th challenge at
Here is my design team card... This week has not been one of the best... sadly Laura from the design team is leaving us... she is such a great designer, she will be missed...
As for the rest of the team, well we have been working toward adding a few more designers and getting lives back to normal after convention and whatnot.. I decided to focus on the team, and getting ahead on some new designs and updates for the site I took some time off/away from the day to day duties and got really into it... Enough of that!
My card is a easy peasy card...  well sounds like dinner is ready (pizza is done) and I'm off... have a great week! Until next time... Eva

Pals Paper Arts has a neat sketch this week... and I couldn't wait to use my new stamps... from the new Holiday catty... which got smooshed in my bag on the way home.  So I've used two stamp sets, Freaky Friends and Mingle All the Way and the coolest two tone trim yet, its Whisper White and Tangerine Tango!!!  Oh and I've lost my first stamp... those little eyes jumped out my hand and is somewhere under my desk... will have to empty out the storage boxes I have down there to find it... CYCI 2728 - a Pick a Page Challenge

This week is a two week challenge at CanYouCaseIt? and a new challenge category as well!!!
Me and my dear friend Amanda Frankel... were talking about adding a new challenge, and after some discussion we came up with Pick a Page, whereas you chose a page from the current(includes holiday and occasions) Stampin' Up! catalogs and make a card or project based on the items on that page, thats were the Pick a Page name comes from. I hope you like our new category and will come check out the site this week, and play along!
Eva 2728
My Pick a Page was from the Annual Catty, on page 104... I loved the colors and design of the card, but it needed a Eva spin on it... so I made a mini, and added some burlap to both cards to give them a unified look and feel.  Not my normal thing, I added two matching envelopes with coordinating Moonlight DSP.
I hope you enjoy the challenge over the next two weeks!!!

Scallop Window Card

There's is no better feeling than to know you did something awesome.... The first is today Butter read a book in less than two hours... I'm a proud momma!!!  If he can reach a goal of 10 books before Sunday evening, he will get a lego of his choice... or new books... I"m hoping for books!
After being at ORCA for less than 6 months, his reading has improved drastically and his comprehension is vastly better!
I'm so proud of all his hard work this summer... tomorrow morning we will work on his multiplication a bit, and then onto writing (cursive) lessons.
Now onto my news.. I am done with all 9 of my swaps... and 100 generals too...  But during some Swaps I came up with ideas for my avoidance time... I made my scalloped window card.. with many sequins and pearls.  I love it!!! I think it will be in my top ten cards list later this year.... along with some challenge winners!  Much like the Scalloped Window card from last season, it has a bit of a custom look, but it is versatile card, and by adding a stamp or more embellishments on it you can wow anyone who will be receiving this card.

I was lucky enough to see my name on a few of the SU lists... at Stampin' Connection and I was shocked and very pleased to see that the past year has been fruitful.
As always thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to the next time!

PPA210 - A Color Challenge

Well now... we've got just 9 days left until convention and I am so excited.... I've met so many wonderful people on Convention Bound (a private Facebook Group) and of course my SU besties Amanda and Tammy... plus a 100 or more close friends! We've got a lot of exciting things planned in SLC and I know that the group and I are gonna rock the swaps off everyone.  I finally finished my swaps (all 300 or so of them, yes I lost count).
This week Pals Paper Arts has a color challenge... and I am lovin' it
The trio of blue hues is perfection and I can so work with that.
Starting with the cardbase, I've got pool party which is so easy to pick as my base layer. Then I've added some Lost Lagoon, and Moonlight DSP. I've finished off my card with a simple banner and matching Lost Lagoon ribbon, which I got from Angela (from Puyallup) when I was up visiting her fabulous crafting space.  For my final touch, I added two Basic Gray candy dots.  If course all my products are Stampin' Up! what else is there for this kind of quality and beauty.

You have a wonderful Monday and so will I... until next time...
Thanks for stoppin' by

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Card Sketch #100

First of all I would like to say "Congrats" to Paper Craft Crew for reaching there 100 challenge. I've been a party of the challenges since last fall... and I got so busy with life, I gave up doing cards for a while, and I really missed.. so I am working on my time management a bit to fit it in every week!
For my card... well now.. that is pretty nice!!! I've started with my normal, lots of layers and then move on to the sketch.... instead of using a doily I used a stamp from the Hello Darling set and it give me a lot of details. My middle area has the main stamp from the collection and I love it in the Baked Brown Sugar!! I finished it off with a tag, small flower punch and ribbon!!!   I hope you like my card...

We are just a couple of days from Independence Day and just two weeks until convention!!! Boy am I ever busy...
This month's theme was Red, White and Blue... of course you have to bring on the bling!!! I mean come on who doesn't like the shimmer of glitter!

My card is very simple, but has lots of wow! From the frame of Red glimmer paper, to my little stars and my Hip Hip Hooray...  William and I had so much fun making cards for the blog hop.
