Craft Bazaar Goodies...

So this past weekend, I was very busy getting ready for the North Plains Senior Center's annual Christmas Bazaar and so far I made these gift tags (I have other things too, but not going to share them just yet.

After sharing my tags on a few crafty pages on Facebook, the snowman gift tags I was asked "How did you make these (the snowman gift tags)? by Deanna" so I decided to make a video on it, instead of taking pics of the steps.

My video isn't fancy, it gives you the how to info...

CYCI #42 A Halloween Challenge

well now... we've got a Halloween challenge and it is fabulous!!!

I love the wondrous wreath stamp set with matching framelits.
I kept my card simple and easy to case.  I'm not huge halloween fan, I eat way too much candy, lol!!! But I do love how the kids come to visit all dressed up in their costumes and ready for fun!

This week has been a rush of working on items for my upcoming craft bazaar!
Sorry my post isn't longer... but I've got to get back to crafting if I plan to get any sleep tonight.

Fab Friday 53

Well its friday, and after a wonderful night of Terri's Card Club, which was a blast! I was trolling my favorite challenge sites and found this incredible sketch at Fab Friday.

I started with my card base, and the Beauty of the Season stamp set, I only used the little branch stamp for my card. but I used it with both Baked Brown Sugar, and Cherry Cobbler. I was looking through the dsp and cardstock, and picked a combo of chocolate chip, very vanilla and a piece of chevron dsp from the Tablescapes SCK and my linen thread is wrapped around the entire card.

a Box and a stapler meet...

lol.. when I thought of the title for today's project, I laughed and smiled wide. This has to be a good thing right....

Anyway... I made this treat box for Terri's club and I wanted something simple and easy to reuse if the giftee wanted too, so this is what I did.

I started with the Tiny Treat Boxes from Stampin' Up! (of course) and then I went to the stamps and colors I wanted to use, so I got out my Merry Everything stamp set, stapler and note tag punch and got to work. I added the White and Tangerine Tango Two tone trim, with the stapler to the belly band.  When I was stamping my good to the last bite, I knew I didn't want it on the outside, or hanging from the bellyband, so I decided to put on the inside! All it needs is a treat and viola!

MPP - Pie and Pom Poms

So I recently received my paper pumpkin, which adorbs! The only issue I had with it was the pom pom's were flat, they had little life to them and I wanted more poof and puff! So heres what I did

I started by using the chipboard that came in the box (its there and you should never throw them away). Then I began wrapping the yarn around it, when I was to the end, I cut it on one side only, you need some length to make the poof!
Then I divided my yarn into two pieces, by pulling it apart , as you can see the middle is how it comes and the two outside pieces are how it looks when you separate the strings.

Then I mostly (do I ever) followed the instructions.... If you haven't made a pom pom before (however unlikely that is) follow the instructions first!
When I was finished, this is what I had.

Hope you enjoyed project...

CYCI #41 Clean and Quick Challenge

Today was another day of bowling league for Butter, and he got a strike his first time today!
He was so happy... I was not, I wasn't looking and missed it all! : ( What a sad moment for me. Regardless he had a great time, we got his bowling shirt ordered and while I wanted one style Butter preferred another, such as life!  Anyway we have a great challenge this week... and we added some new designers to the team Billie Moan, Cynthia Richards and Marisa Gunn, they are amazing we are lucky to have them!

This week at Can You Case It? We've got our Clean and Quick challenge, where you do a simple card design. I love the clean and quick cards. For some folks layers is where its at, but I love the simple ones best.

I started off with with choosing what direction I wanted to go with, so of course I picked the colors! You can have so much fun with them. Then I decided on a punch, I thumbed through mine, and thought why not the tree.. something easy and beautiful at the same time. I used the Bright and Beautiful stamp set in the background and on top. The last thing I did was throw on a few candy dots for symmetry. I hope you like my card this week.

Thanksgiving Tag a Journal

I started this off with just a small tag made with my Tag Topper Punch! The thing took on a life of its own, by adding the Under the Tree TAB kit. I finally got a chance to bust out my decorative masks so I used the stripe in pumpkin pie ink, and wow what a simple thing can do to add impact!

My friend Terri brought me some card kits from her WCD and one of them had the feathers, and while I would love to take credit for thinking of this fabulous idea, it was hers! The last thing I added was one of my enamel dots with dsp from last years simply created Thankful Tablescape kit that Tammy sent me... and I never turn down freebies!

Well I hope you've enjoy my project... sometimes the best time to make something is when your not thinking at all! lol!!!

CYCI #40 A Color Challenge

So this week at Can You Case It? We have Marisa Gunn as our guest designer!
We are so excited that she is with us this week!

This week has been interesting to say the least. Butter went to visit his big brother Jonathan in Washington. While the girls and Butter were off on their own, Bill and I went on a 8 hr drive along the coasts of Washington and Oregon, stopping' along the way to take pics, shop and of course taste the local fair. This was a road side shot, and such a beautiful one at that! I've got a great eye and Bill is an incredible photographer.

My card is funny to me now, because we took over 100 pictures while on our drive, and Oh Snap! is the perfect sentiment... and while I didn't plan it that way, I'd like to think it worked out wonderfully!

Mojo Monday 366

Well today I've found a great sketch to get me creating, this Mojo Monday layout is fabulous and simply gorgeous!

This is my first blog entry on Blogger, after months and months of having issues, I'm moving yet again, and I hope its for the last time, I will be slowly migrating my old blog over and shortly the name will be here instead of there! : ) I am happy to make a move that will end the madness.

You know me... I love color, and thats where I normally start, today I went with the AiC washi to start my mind thinking about how the sketch would go, if I went with the new color palette from Stampin' Up! So I did just that... and I hope you like it! The favorite stamp set from last year is back in action and such a wonderful option for a clean card! I used the linen thread to build on the washi and gave it a pop with the AiC Snowflake... the stamping is simple, and effective!

Today is a school day for Butter and I've taken a long enough break, so check you later!
