Creative Blog Hop

Good Morning or Evening depending on where you are, and thanks for joining me on my day in Creative Blog hop! My friend Jan McQueen ask me if I would like to be part of of the never ending Blog Hop, Creative Blog Hop! Of Course I said yes... Jan lives in Melbourne Australia and I am in North Plains Oregon in the United States, we may be far apart, but enjoy each others work and crafty-awesomeness!
The Creative Blog Hop asks us to answer 4 questions about ourselves and is a way of introducing you to somebody else and learning a bit more about each of us.
What am I working on now?
Well I'm working all types of things, from cards, to home decor to Holiday crafts! I recently received the newest My Paper Pumpkin from Stampin' Up! and I am in love with the awesomeness that is MPP!!!

How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I would say that I am a one off type of designer, while I love doing swaps and mass card making I prefer to make a card unlike the masses. I love bold deep colors, and put me into everyone of my cards, and projects. The other thing most of my friends and followers notice I'm not a huge fan of CAS(E)in' a card.... but I have done it a few times, but the cards and designers were too fab, not too! Making a person smile is what my card making is all about... and I love it!

Why do I create what I do?
It gives me joy to give.... The most common card I make is the THANK YOU card... Birthdays come and go, so do holidays... but you can never say thank you enough in your lifetime. I've always done some type of artistry, writing, drawing, but designing cards is the only thing that seems to stick, I can write how I feel into each of them, and I love that!
Thank You CBH - Copy
How does my creative process work?
I start with color... once I have the colors I know what I can use, and what direction my project or design is going to go. I'm not a fan of pastels, like pink or pale yellow, but some days thats where I start.... Color is easy, you can make sense of the tone of the card, black, white, and grays give a elegant feel, whereas reds and oranges are warmth and cozy. The color is the key to my designing and I wouldn't have it any other way! Here is one of my recent favorite cards, I love the clean lines, and vibrant colors. FMS151

Well now... on to the next hopper...
and the saga continues, thanks to my follow crafter and friend Shannon Jaramillo, who will be next on the hop, on October 6th 2014! She is crafting mistress, and a wonder with the Stamp-A-Ma -Jig! Shannon and I are also design members at www.canyoucaseit.com, a weekly card challenge site... We have so much fun each week seeing all the creative designs folks share with us! She is one of the most talented SU Demo designers, its been my pleasure of working with her!

Stapler Pumpkin

Staple PumpkinSo today I was trying to create something with the stapler by Stampin' Up! and this little pumpkin is what I came up with. It only uses four products plus glue dots (so I guess you could say 7 things if you include tools).  I started by cutting out 18 large ovals, and folded them in half, then I connected them using the Stampin' Up! Stapler to create the honeycomb look. I then pulled out some cardstock to create the leaves, stem and vines...
Anyway I hope you like my simple project!

Paper Craft Crew 110

Paper Craft Crew

Well its been a couple of weeks since I did any challenges (other than CYCI) but Butter is off to the girls place, and Bill was sleepin' (perks of having a hubby who works nights) I had some time to myself, and I opted to watch a few youtube video's of my favorite show the Big Bang Theory.... which were awesome!!!
After that, I straightened up my desk and thought, ya know I've got all this time to create and I'm doing nothing... so I went through my favorite challenge sites, and tada this is what I got done!
I found a great sketch at the Paper Craft Crew's site. Well as you can see I was able to pull things together nicely "if I do say so muhself"!!!
I have a mix of dubbing and spritzing the background. I used a leftover piece of cardstock to punch out from the new Confetti Stars, and then went over it with Gorgeous Grunge.  The feathers were a super easy pick - they were sitting on top of my desk... lol as were the Frosted Sequins.  So I hope you like it... the hubby did, so that normally means its better than "OKAY" : )

CYCI36 a Pick a Page Challenge

CYCI36
Eva CYCI36
Well another great week on CanYouCaseIt? CYCI36 is all about our Pick a Page challenge!
I've got a great card that is simple, and is two parts! The little tree is also an holiday ornament . I kept the details laid back and easy. Trying in the stitching on the dsp and the modestness of the card itself. I'm letting the Frosted Sequin stand out and it works!
I hope you will take some time and visit the other designers pages and thanks for stoppin' by!

CYCI35 A Color Challenge

Eva CYCI35
Well now... we've got a color challenge going on this week at CanYouCaseIt?
Tammy picked the colors and we are loving them! Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon and Smokey Slate!
I've got the awesome new catalog for the holidays over at Stampin' Up! and it is awesome!!!  I've got the oh so perfect White Christmas photopolymer stamp set... and I was able to leave a small space uninked by using a piece of washi tape to mask the spot I needed to put my little snowman. There's a Pear Pizzazz 5x5 card base, and lots of awesomeness all around this card. Stop by and see the rest of the teams work this week... oh and did I mention we've got a few changes, a new theme custom designed by Kim Ryden  and a new designer Shannon Taylor Jaramillo.

ICS Blog Hop Fall is in Air

Logo

Welcome to the Inspire Create and Share Blog Hop for Fall! Here is my project this month... and a card too!
Fall - ICS Blog Hop
I started my project with one of the all new Petite Cafe Gift Bags, adding the Thank You wood piece and and gold paper from the Glittered Greeting My Paper Pumpkin kit from March 2014! I also added some Mossy Meadow cs and pumpkin pie ribbon! I also embossed the PCGB with the woodgrain TIEF. I give the leaves a veiny look by using my piercing tool on the handle end, on the back of the gold paper.
Fall - ICS Blog Hop Card
I also made a matching gift card 3x3 to go along with my Petite Cafe Gift Bag. With Tangelo Twist cs, a bit of the paper from the Glittered Greeting MPP kit with my big shot and Autumn Accents Die to create the lovely leaves on both the bag and card.
I hope you've enjoyed your visit, but now its time to hop on over to Terri's blog and see what she has in store for us today!
next
Thanks again Eva :)
