Thank you Crafting Desert Divas

I was so happy that I won a prize package from Crafting Desert Divas so I wanted to make a card for Tara (CDD owner) to show her how much I loved my new goodies!

I started by making the frame for my shaker and then stamped the peanut then colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers using EB2 EB3 for the peanuts and True Black for the background.
Up next I cut out the heart using my Sizzix dies and My CDD fancy frames dies.

Then I went to work on my envies from little birdie set, which I'd cut using my Scan N Cut from Brother, that I used on another project and had left-overs. I colored them in PP2, PP6, and IG6.

The last thing to color was the elephant from Ton stamp set, it is so cute!!! I did it in IG1 - IG6 and PP2, PP6.

I finished off the card with a bit of thread and sprinkles from Doodlebug.

PCC Two Week Challenge!

Well now... I hope you love to play tic tac toe as much as I do...
This week at Paper Craft Crew is a two-week challenge and a little break for the design team during the holiday!
I am very much looking forward to the break to get ahead in my reading for my Human Resouces class at SNHU.  Butter and I have lots to do during the Christmas break, yesterday we had lunch at Red Robin, and it was very nice to have lunch just me and him.

On to my card!

AS you can see I went with the Reindeer option, my stamp is from Unity Stamp Co. and my Dies are from Lawn Fawn and Crafting Desert Divas. For my paper, I used Authentique Collection; Natural.

I love the blues and greens I used on the watercolor paper tag!
I added some Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh and some thread from Michaels.

My card base is 120lbs white from Simon Says Stamp.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    PCCC174 Sketch Challenge

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house.
The tree is up, the presents are stacking up and the house smells of cookies.

I hope you feel blessed, like I do!

Well now... I got some time to join the rest of the design team over at Paper Craft Crew this week!
We have a fabulous sketch for you and incredible ideas from the DT cards!

When I started this project, I wasn't happy with how things were coming along, and managed to get through several ideas, before finally coming up with this one!

Unity Stamp Co's Snowglobe Wonderland was the stamp set I used for today's card
I took the sentiment, which kind of says it all for this time of year, and the snowman which couldn't be any cuter!  I took colors from my stash from Simon Says Stamp (red & Black) and Doodlebug (green).  Along with my 120lb white cardbase.  I used a small black thread bow, and lots of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine!

Well I've got to get back to the books, and prepare for another large paper due tomorrow!

    Until next time!

    CYCI#99 Favorite Christmas Colors

Hey... have you ever wondered what everyone's favorite Christmas colors where?
Well so did we! has the best challenge this week,
share a card with your favorite color combo for Christmas!

My favorite is wintery blues and bright greens! Taking back old school today!
I remember as a kid, my Tia, had these glass ornaments  in Ice blue, Turquoise, and bright greens. She had the basics too, Gold, and Silver. But that combo always reminds me of the incredible times I had growing up, and visiting her house!

Today I'm doing a simple watercolor wash and some sparkle with a touch of wonder!
My stamp comes from Fun Stampers Journey, it's called Merry and Bright! I fell in love with this stamp back in October and waited... a long long long time to use! lol...
In crafty time that was forever!

I've got my Zig Clean Color Real Brush and I did the main part of coloring, in 031, 040, 041 and 091
Then I did my splatter with my Gold Wink of Stella. Then I used a dash of  Heidi Swapp White Color Shine and Mr Huey's White for a bit of a snow effect, the two together make a for an awesome combo!
After drying with my heat tool, I ran my wc cardstock through the big shot with the cutest dies ever!!! Craftin Desert Divas has their line of dies, and I recently purchased their Fancy Frames! Its so awesome!
The final touch was to add some thread in Black to give my card a cute bow!

don't forget to check out and our challenge this week!

    Until next time,
    CYCI Design Team Coordinator

CYCI#98 Tag You're It Sketch Challenge

Okay... I've got to admit... taking college courses with everything I've got going on is different! In a good way! This coming week is going to be even harder than the last week, but I am looking forward to it! Getting a good grade in the class is my goal, and moving forward and starting a career is the end game!  Thanks for all of the support from friends, family and followers!

Hey its Sunday at that means it's time for a new challenge at CanYouCaseIt? dot com!
I did this sketch a while ago, and loved the idea of a tag on a card this time of year!

This is a super simple card to do, I started by selecting my sentiment from the November Monthly Kit from Unity Stamp Co. I love the way it pops in Stazon Black, and snowflakes from a Snowflake (USC) in the background in a light blue to go with my Echo Park paper pad Hello Winter, along with matching enamel dots!

A few of the other things on here is polka dot washi, black and white thread, and some mittens from an old punch I have made again using more patterns from the Hello Winter paper pad.

I did add a piece of fun foam under my tag to help support it! The cardbase is the 120lbs white from Simon Says Stamp.

    Until next time,

    Beary Christmas

Wow.. I've missed blogging and doing a card! School started, and I'm up to my eyeballs in work. I had my first major paper due. I'm waiting for the grade so to speak, and hopefully I did not mess it up to beary much! lol... Anyway onto today's card!

I started my card with the my old favorite from Simon Says Stamp (SSS) Circle Friends!

First I laid out the plan in my head, and went to work on fussy cutting 10 masks on Post It removable tape.  Once they were all done, I started by adding my first bear, which is colored in browns, using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; brown bear EB2-EB4,  PP2 cheeks, EB1-2 for the bears in the background and IG2-3 for the shadowing behind the top layer.

I then went to work on the stamped sentiment, which comes in the set, as Bear Hugs, but I only inked up the Bear, and borrowed the Y from one of the other sentiments in the set.

Next was the Christmas in bright pink, so not an Eva color... but hey every now and again you gotta change things up!  The Die is called Happy Winter also from SSS.

I ran the top layers through my big shot, with the stitched rectangle dies, and added some dimension with some foam squares. and Finished up with my white Signo gel pen.

I added a layer of silver on top of the card base, which is SSS 120lbs.

Well that's about it for today,

    Until next time

    CYCI#97 Be Inspired Challenge

This week we are doing something really different over at Can You Case It?
We have a holiday picture that folks will use as a guide in the challenge, instead of colors or a sketch!

I took the golds, whites and a touch of red and black for my card today!

I used Mr Huey's, Heidi Swapp and Wink of Stella for my splatter effect.
Along with the sentiment of Winter Wonderland from Unity Stamp Co. a snowflake stamp set!
As you can see I've got some retired black ribbon from SU and Gold Thread that I picked up from Walmart.  For my cardstock, there's Doodlebug Red, and Simon Says Stamp 120lbs white.

    Until next time

PCCC 172 A sketch by Pam

Hey it's time for another challenge at Paper Craft Crew!
I kinda felt my card needed something else... but I never did figure it out!
So if you have suggestions please post a comment!

I strayed a bit from the actual sketch,  I made an ornament from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Circle tags.
You know how you are lucky when you find something interesting? Well I did... that awesome kraft cardboard on the ornament and in the background! To top it off was in the new blankie for Gus our dog and I've got big plans for the rest of it! :) I ran the die through the big shot, with the cardboard and also some acetate, I used some Wink of Stella and Mister Huey's on it using my a splatter effect.

Up next came the cardstock, both the White cardbase and Black cs is from Simon Says Stamp and the plaid is from the Authentique collection Everlasting.   I stamp the sentiment Season's Greetings from the Hero Arts Kelly's S'no Problem set in Memento Black and the snowflake in Stazon Black on the acetate sheet! Last I added a little bow of white twine.

    Until next time,

    CYCI#96 A Sketch challenge

Welcome back to a new week and a new sketch challenge!

As you may have guessed,  I did this awesome sketch, and in my design I kept true to it!

I started by selecting the sentiment from Unity Stamp Co. called Like a snowflake, in Black, Memento Ink.
    On a white
120lbs cardstock from Simon Says Stamp!
I added a few stars, in plain cardstock, which I colored using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.
I then finished it off with a Grey cardbase, and a few different Rhinestones from Stampin' Up!

Thats about it for this week.. stop by CYCI and check out all the awesome design ideas from the team!

    Until next time

    Memento Ink

    PCCC171 Give Thanks

    Hello, and welcome back!
This week at Paper Craft Crew the theme is Give Thanks!

My first card for today's challenge a bit more rugged, and the super thick twine doubled up gives the design a big statement. The Pebbles Inc Harvest paper pad, has wonderful designs that go so well with the Thanksgiving Holiday!  Along with the incredible Apple of My Pie stamp set from Simon Says Stamp... I think it makes for a wonderful card to share with anyone.  Other products used were Tim Holtz Distressed Ink, and Dark Chocolate ink from SSS.

My second card is more of a elegant style. Other than the main stamped sentiment, I've used two of the leaves, and the mini heart from the Apple of My Pie. Again, I used the same inks as I did in the Rugged version, and added some gold heart ink on the mini heart stamp.  On both cards I also used the Stitched Rectangle dies from Simon Says Stamp.

    Until next time

Had so much fun, yesterday at the Beaverton Bazaar with fellow CYCI DTM Terri. While we didn't get rich, we met a lot of great people, and enjoyed the day with each other!
After stopping for dinner with Bill and Butter, we came home and I went straight to work on my post, and tomorrow's post for CYCI. Here's what we have for this week!

Don't you just love this color combo?

I am super wiped out, so I"m sharing the products I used, and not going into to much detail!

    Here's my product list!

    Candy Dots Brights
Unity Stamp Co. Take care of you
Simon Says Stamp - Woodland Rectangle Die
    Neutral inks
    BoBunny Heritage Collection Paper Pad

    Until next time!

Well... looky here, I'm over at  Paper Craft Crew along with the
rest of the design team, and have we got a sketch for you!

My card today, has to main area's the layered and sentiment areas.

When I started putting my card together, I put some post its in a rectangular shape, to build my background. I used my reInkers from Stampin' Up! in Soft Sky and a sponge dauber. After I let it dry a bit, I used some Stazon white ink reInker to do as my splatter, which I repeated on my cardbase too! Up next was selecting my sentiment... Which I love the new Special Delivery from Taylored Expressions, and did that in Black Stazon. Up next was the layered area, two banners in Blue and Gray, and a Sparkly ornament  with some Twine and a Penguin die from  Echo Park. The finishing touch was added some enamel dots.

Note: for the penguin die, instead of using three different pieces of colored cardstock, I used white and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir markers.

    Until next time,

    The dog house

Yesterday was a really cool day!!!!
I won this digi at Craftin Desert Divas
and one other, which I will work on another day!

Here's what I used, of course the awesome Puppy and dog house digi
I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
    here's what I used
    Puppy - Body: BG1 - BG4,  Eyes BT2-BT3,  Mouth PP2
    Dog House - EB1-EB8 and IG8
    Grass - CG1 - CG4
    Bowl IG3 - IG5 and Bone EB1, TN3

My cardstock is 120lb white and the Friends die are both from Simon Say Stamp.

The blue in the color and Kraft cardstock are from Stampin' Up!

I cut the sentiment - friends four times, then layered them together with Tombow mono. The Puppy and dog house are attach with foam tape, and the circle was created by using a template made from a piece of scratch paper.  I kept the colors for the Puppy and his bowl, bone and grass, lighter than the dog house, so each component of the design would stand apart, while still giving a wonderful finished design.

    Until next time,

    Monday Mashup

Today's mashup is Echo Park and Craftin Desert Divas

I started by using Craftin Desert Divas dies Stitches Circle Dies along with Echo Park paper Pad Hello Winter and enamel dots and the Snow Cold Stamp set!

Then I stamped "Baby its cold outside" in Night of Navy ink from Stampin' Up!
On white 120lbs cardstock from Simon Says and using fun foam inbetween the layers!

Adding a simple bit of twine and enamel dots to finish off the circle.

    Until next time,

Welcome back, today I'm back with the CYCI team, and we have a super sketch!

Here's my card for this challenge, enjoy.

I've been sick this week, so I'm just listing the products I've used
Echo Park Hello Winter Paper Pad
Hero Arts Clearly Kelly's S'no Problem Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.
Lawn Fawn Stitch Circle Tags and Bokeh in the Snow paper pad
    Shimmel & AC Santa Stamp
    Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
    Black Twine
    and Pretty Pink Posh Sequins.

    Until next time

Stamps and Papers make the card

Mash up... Unity stamps with Taylored Expressions paper pack!

I started by stamping my snowmen onto Post-it tape with Stazon
to create masks for the three guys in the front, who just happen to be from the little frosty friends set from Unity Stamp Co. and fussy cut them out!

Then I pulled out my watercolor paper and stamped all my guys out, and fussy cut around the group!

I grabbed my 12 pack of Zig Clean Color real brush watercolors, and went to work.
While my guys were drying I went through my paper pads and loved Taylored Expressions; Build a Scene Christmas paper pack, the stripes against the colors on my snowmen. I added a center bit that was left over from a shaker I did recently and stamped it with the winter Wonderland from like a snowman, also from Unity.
I added a layer of black cardstock to my 120lbs cardbase both from Simon Says Stamp, and
to finish it off, I added a tiny bow in white twine.

    Until next time,

    PCCCS169 A Sketch Challenge

I've got a lot of wonderful products on my card for Paper Craft Crew Design Team

I started with the cardstock and paper pad. I chose Simon Says Stamp 120lb white for my base, and their soft navy for the upper portion and Echo Park Hello Winter for the bottom.
I used my Unity Stamp from ... like a snowflake set for the sentiment Let it Snow!
I also took out my Scan n Cut by Brother for the snowflakes in the 120lb white cardstock as well.
The Holly leaves are from Memory Box, in silver cardstock, with candy dots from Stampin' Up!
Last was white twine and a simple triple bow!

    Until next time,

    Fallen Snow

Well this is what happens when your a paper crafter who can't get to sleep! lol...

I did this late last night/early this morning, and I really loved how the background turned out...
I started with a light blue for the background, daubing it onto the watercolor paper, and then spraying it with a bit too much water, but it worked out... Next I took out my snowflakes from like a snowflake stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. and found a sentiment I loved and a snowflake. I did the sentiment in Stazon Black, and the snowflakes in White Pigment Ink from VersaColor. I used my heat tool to dry the ink, to reduce the drying time.  It needed something, so I went to my go to dies from Simon Says Stamp, Stitched Rectangles and finished it off with a simple bow in white thread.
oh and clear Wink of Stella too!

    Until next time,

    Got Coffee take 2

Hey I'm back with the Craftin Desert Divas Got Coffee stamp set for some more fun!

Today I worked on craft cardstock, and prismacolor white (tan and pink) colored pencils on the bear holding a cuppa joe! I used the CDD Stitched in Circle dies, and I just love them! So I brought out my SU reInkers and my Wink of Stella, and went to work, on a splatter pattern that I layered in light pink, bright pink, gold and a touch of black. Then ran it through my bigshot with SSS Rectangle stitched die. I decided to chop my black Scalloped circle layer (Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock) in half, and place them on opposite ends. Which left me with enough area to give some color too!
I added a simple pink double ribbon.
    Until next time!

I love the challenge this week!!!

What's not to love about FALL?
We had a busy time last night with Trick or Treaters and it was so much fun!
Butter went as a Banana, and my granddaughters were totally cute in their costumes as well!

Each year I love the day after Halloween, because for me that is when fall truly begins, the weather starts changing a bit more rapidly, and the days are shorter. I can always get comfy with my blanket and read a book.

Here's what I did for this weeks challenge!

Super fun card with a few surprise elements!

I wanted my card to be CAS but to be elegant and fun.
Starting with Unity Stamp Co. "Love never Leaves" I used Tim Holtz antique linen to get that weathered look, and a touch of gold in the heart. Other inks where espresso, and gold.
I added a layer of corrugated rust paper and some black twine and vintage mini pins for some tada!
I did use my Simon Says Stamp Rectangle stitched dies... and I love how the gold on the edges of my top layer looks! My sentiment is from the "...believe in magic" stamp set from Unity Stamp Co.
I hope you'll join us this week at CYCI and Stop by Unity to get both of the stamp sets used in my card today!

    Until next time,

    Got Coffee

Last couple of days I've really been out of it... not feeling well, but today seems a lot better, first I got my order from Craftin Desert Divas and next I made a card with the awesome stamp set Got Coffee

Today's layout totally CAS and I love that!

I started by taking out my stamps and selecting the coffee cup and sentiment.
I also picked a couple of others to go with my design idea.

First I stamped the coffee stain, in Tim Holtz distress ink antique linen. Up next was the sentiment, which is sweet! I used Stampin' Up! Early Espresso which is a rich deep brown.
Then it was time to have some fun with coloring. I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers LG1 - LG5 for the outside of the cup, and rim, and TN2 for the coffee (with lots of cream) color. and Finally I filled the tiny heart in with LV2 which compliments the Craftin Desert Divas cactus colors nicely. The finishing touch was to add the heart shaped steam, again I went for the antique linen.
My cardbase is Simon Says Stamp 120lb cardstock.

Also wanted to say thanks to Tara at CDD for making these wonderful stamps!

I hope you've enjoyed my card today

    Until next time

    PCCCS168 a Sketch by Crystal

Hey This week we have another awesome sketch at Paper Craft Crew, by Crystal.

Here's my design team card :)

I used my Scan N Cut for the candy cane and snowflakes and even the craft cardstock layer with rounded corners. lol .... I love it!  I added some Pretty Pink Posh clear seed beads to my candy cane not as a shaker... yup its new to me too! I glued down the bits so that the entire area of each opening would have some glam to it. Next I added some simple touches, like a clear button, natural thread and black cardstock to bring all of the elements together. My sentiment of choice was Ho Ho Ho, from Stampin' Up! Good Greetings above a simple white cardstock strip. I loved the sketch, and I hope you do too! Don't forget to join us this week.

    Until next time

    SIP 20 Color Challenge

    Okay... so here's my card

My cardbase is from Simon Says Stamp, 120lbs white.

    Until next time

I love fun sentiments... and Unity Stamp Co.
    has some humorous stamps,
with great sayin' and this is just one of them.

I've got Unity Stamp Co. stamp called
freezin' my snowballs <-- its linked to take you straight to the stamp. :)

Bowling yesterday was a blast! Both William and Noelle (my grand daughter) got strikes and did way better than their averages!!! Kaylee hung in there and knocked down lots of pins! Meanwhile Keira and I were sitting in the high tops and coloring some images. I had a blast!

Well its Sunday and Can You Case It? has CAS Sketch for us this week!

I used my Newton's Nook Frozen Friends stamp set today.

    I kept my card CAS.
I've got one part Newton's Nook and Two part Lawn Fawn.

The Holly Berry Twist Striped paper and Hugs stamp are both from Lawn Fawn, aren't they adorable!
For my snow couple, I've done them in shades of blues and pinks with simple additions like the carrot noses and blue scarfs.  I did a dash line/stitch with my Journal Pen from Project Life.  Lastly is a simple twine bow in white.  All of the white cardstock is Simon Says 120lb, which is awesome as card bases and layering too!

Stop on over at and join in on the fun this week!

    Until next time...
