the past... becomes the future again

Things in our past always seem to come to our future before we know it.. So while I was thinking about my childhood and Butter's I am amazed at how much technology has replaced simple things.

That got me thinking about some of the new things that came out when "I was a kid". Video games then were simple and mind blowing, new ideas like Simon, where you had to hit the colors in the correct sequence or even the magic of the rubik's cube....  I miss those days

So today I decided to do up a 3d project instead of a card!
Here goes....

I used the gift box maker from Stampin' Up! Along with Basic Black, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Tangelo Twist, Real Red, Whisper White and Garden Green to match the classic colors of the Rubik's Cube!

I started with a 10 X 10 piece of Basic Black and cut 1 inch squares for each of the six sides. I used a stapler to connect three sides of the cube, and attached a 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 bb square to finish off my gift box. To keep it closed, I just added two glue dots!

What a great way to box up a small gift for anyone!

Thanks for stoppin' by
