Hey... so I've been working on this card for a bit now (over a week).. and I finally finished it today!
You know how you start a card, but then your not sure how it should look... yep, me too!
So it was wonderful to be chatting with Laura on Hangouts and finally figuring how it was gonna look.  The shaker has Cheers die from Simon Says Simon, and the cardstock Whisper White and Soft Sky are from Stampin' Up! as is my acetate window sheet. My sequins are Doodle Bug and i've got some twine from AC. I picked up the seed beads from SSS as well.

the finishing touches were the piece of soft sky and the twine which I ended up doing loose knots.

I hope you love my shaker card and Cheers!

Congrats to the Bride

Talk about a fun day and evening... I had so much fun yesterday... I did two cards, and today I've got another card using the Simon Says Stamp May 2015 kit.

I think I may be pushing my limits, and upsetting my dystonia, but I've figured it you can't beat it.. work with it, right?  Stayed up a bit later than I normally do, to make sure my hands were up to the task of heat embossing (everything is doable) lol.... if I get to shaky it could cause a burn, and that's the last thing I need lol...

Today's card is all about the Bride

I did a simple by elegant card, with cream, gold and blush pink accents

I started with my top layer, in cream along with the My Minds Eye, Fancy That collection designers paper in gold foil (6x6), along with simple gold ribbon and heating embossing the Congratulations stamp first in Pale Blush Pink.  The one thing that wasn't part of the kit was the Blush brad, from the On Trend collection from MME.  Gold emboss powder and ribbon are from Stampin' Up!

Sorry to cut this short, but I've wiped myself out...

Thanks for stoppin by

If you want to know more about the type of dystonia I have click here and look for PKD :)

Strong and Beautiful by Unity Stamp Co

I just got my newest Unity Stamp Co. stamp of the week in today's mail!!

So I went straight to work... I've got a combo of Very Vanilla and Basic Black along with VV Satin ribbon, and Memento Black ink.

I used the rose stamp and created a background with it... and after stamping the coordinating sentiment I used two sizes of my oval dies from Stampin' Up! Sizzix.

Anyway... just wanted to share this and I hope you like it!

tying the knot

Today's card is super easy one...
I came up with the idea for while I was skyping with Justin last night.

I also received my SSS kit in todays mail, which is totally awesome! When I started going through the kit, I opened the pack of My Mind's Eye Pearl cardstock Stickers from the "Fancy That" collection.  Which I was drawn to the labels and knew just what I wanted to do! So I took out the "the groom & the bride" stickers and attached them to AC hemp twine in white and gray. I made the bow with one end of each color to represent the joining of the couple who have tied the knot!

Inside the card, I added the stamp tying the knot, from the Simon Says Stamp, set Congratulations, in Memento Tuxedo Black! My cardstock is in cream and smoke. I hope you've enjoyed my out of the box thinking on this one, I know this would make a perfect card for any groom and his bride.

Lets get dotty

Hello, I hope your day is going well... Butter and I had a super busy day yesterday... We went to Kohls. Butter tried on a bunch of new jeans to see what size he's up too! Growing boys... cost lots and lots, but thanks to my Kohl's cash I saved a ton! We managed to leave the store with 3 new t-shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shorts for him and a new summer shirt for me, and some chocolate from Godiva, YUMMM!!! We spend the rest of the day lounging, and watching superhero movies, it was awesome! Monday means back to home school, and since we are nearing the end of the year, the assignments are getting harder to do... I'm a one proud momma, Butter is still an incredible student, he managed to get a year and a half done in one school year...  :) yep very proud!!!

On to my card now.... I started my card with Very Vanilla cardstock for my base, and layers, then I stamped the Dots from Dotty Angles in three colors, Island Indigo, Marina Mist and Soft Sky from Stampin' Up!. Then I went over some of the dots with either Gold or Clear Wink of Stella. I tinted my jute ribbon in Island Indigo, and cut the edges off of the Burlap ribbon to fray them a bit (Stampin' Up!). I added AC hemp twine to finish off the look! My sentiment let's celebrate is from the Sparkle and Shine stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you've enjoyed my card today!

CYCI#67 A Mother's Day Challenge

Good morning, before I get to today's post, I'd like to do a little team talk...
Many of you know we've revamped the CYCI website and team(s).
So I would like to introduce both teams, yep you heard right Can You Case It? now has two teams!
My good friend and crafter Justin Krieger has joined me at CYCI to co manage the site and head a team of designers.

First I'd like to introduce my team

We have a Mother's day challenge going on this week....

My card is super easy and I know my mom would love the design and simplicity of the color scheme.
I have some of the Irresistibly Yours DSP , the Best Day Ever stamp set, and basic Black cardstock, Whisper White cardstock and some Black Bakers Twine. My finishing touch is the bold yellow color of daffodil delight on my DSP and some Doodlebug sequins!

In truth, my mom is not someone who likes cards, flowers and many other things...
I love her just the same, and yes I will send her this card... she is the best ever mom for me!
and I love her!

Shaking up my day

Well, I spent the day with my guys, Bill (the hubby), Butter (my son) and of course Gus (our dachshund mix).

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog
Yep, you guessed it, I got another order from Simon Says Stamp...
I am lovin' the My Minds Eye; Fancy That & On Trend...
So I used the 6x6 paper stack which is full of rich golds, pinks and neutrals from the all new Fancy That collection. I also added the "Pearl" Mixed Bag along with the "Happy" Sequins from the On Trend Collection. I used the On Trend Niche my colors 12x12 canvas cardstock as my base. Along with some double sided foam tape for the shaker part, and some clear acetate for the window. I also threw in some seed beads to shaker! :)

I hope you've enjoyed my card today!

Butterflies for all you do

todays card is a  thank all my friends and followers
The card started with chalkboard cardstock, where I used a stencil on it from Bo Bunny and texture paste from Ranger. To give my butterflies more life, I took a piece of copy paper and laid it over the wet texture paste, gave a light rub to the entire thing, and pulled the paper up. Leaving behind butterflies, with lots of life to them.. I set it aside to dry. Then it was time to add color, so i chose white pigment ink, and gold ink from Stampin' Up!  First I covered the whole thing in the white ink... with a sponge dauber and let dry (this card required about 4 hours of drying time in between paste, ink and finish). Then I came back with gold and tapped it to cover most of the details within the butterflies. Lastly I added a simple sentiment from For Being You and my card was finally finished.

I hope you enjoy my labor of love, card making!

Thanks for stoppin' by

Everything I used is Stampin' Up! products
except Ranger Texture Paste
and BoBunny Stencil

Kite Shaker Card

As you know I recently got an order from Simon Says Stamp, and one of the items I bought was the Kite Shaker Dies.

I started by cutting my die in Chalkboard cardstock, did a bit of a wash on watercolor paper with soft sky, and marina mist.  I added seed beads and sequins.

Last I added my sentiment from Hooray Its your Day!

skype and a card

Good morning, today I'm all about skype, friends, and making cards in my crafty space (which is a desk) lol.. anyway... so as you can see I have Justin on my blog today!  lol.. No, we were skyping while we were working on projects (cards) again, so I thought I'd share one of the pics I snapped while we were chatting...

Anyway on to todays card!
I'm so on my Simon Says Stamp kick...
I got a new order yesterday, and totally loved all my shine items!
I started by using the Tim Holtz Stencil Flourish, with Ranger Texture Paste Transparent Gloss
and then I went back and added some color, using a sponge dauber to add the Island Indigo reInker.

I added a layer of vellum, and heat embossed the Happily Ever After with Ranger Liquid Platinum emboss powder. Finally I added some Stampin' Up! White Satin ribbon on a Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock as my base. I hope you enjoyed my card
I love it, and think it would be perfect for any wedding or anniversary!

Dandelion Wishing

Just wanted to share my latest fun card!
I got my order from Simon Says Stamp (SSS) today... and had to give my new goodies a try
So I used the Dandelion stencil from Clear Scraps, with some Bo Bunny Silver Glitter Paste, on Hello Honey from Stampin' Up! with the Wishing die from SSS, along with a single staple on my Hemp ribbon from AC.

Thanks for stoppin' by

As most of you know, I'm love clean cards, simple with a bit of crazy and today is no different, or is it?  I've got three cards, each with a bit more!

I started by choosing my colors, sentiment and embellishment.
I've got my cardstock in Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Watercolor paper.
Then my sentiment... I liked the Hooray from Sumthin' Sumthin' with doily, white twine and a few sequins. Thats all for the simple card. It's beautiful, and most anyone I know would love to have it!

Now, for stepping the card up, to the next level, by adding some texture and visual interest, but not killing the original layout which I love!  So I added the Chevron embossing folder and Hello You  thinlits "You" again in Coastal Cabana.

For my last card, I've got everything else, but added a feather from Four Feathers (and framelits) in Memento Black on Watercolor paper and did a simple wash to bring the color in toward the feather.
I love how this turned out!

I hope you've enjoyed my cards today!

Have a wonderful day

PPA248 A Sketch Challenge

PPA's sketch is designed by Kerry Willard Bray

Well another interesting day... Started by chatting with Laura, then went grocery shopping (what a pain) and come home, chatted for a few more friends, worked on CYCI for a bit and decided to take a nap, and slept for over three hours. It was too late to do much, but I did fix some dinner and enjoy a bit of family time with my guys!
So I was checking out Pals Paper Arts, and liked the sketch, so I figured I'd give it a try.
My cardstock, is Stampin' Up! in Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Whisper White, along with the help from a few sequins from Doodlebug, the sentiment stamp in Hello Bunny from Unity and my paper pad is from Amy Tangerine (Plus One) from AC.  Oh yeah, I used a crimper on the DD top layer to get the wavy look, and covered it in Clear Wink of Stella for some extra sparkle.
I hope you like my card of the day

Oh one more thing... I had one of my cards hit 500 repins on Pinterest!
Thanks Laura for being my 500th repinner!
And thanks to everyone else who help me get there!

Thank you

Hello Crafty Friends!
So last night, I got to do hangouts with Tammy and Laura about convention, and how exciting its going to be. We've begun our list making, and who's bringing what with them. I love how all of us are going to be roomies, along with our other friend!
and skyped with Justin about everything we'd bought in preparation for the newest SSS monthly kit!
I love how he and I do the business with fun convos, stamps and crafty sh*t! I love it! lol..

I also spent some time with the family last night, Bill has a cold, and has been sleeping a lot and well thursday night is Big Bang night.. we had to wait, and got to see it about an hour late. But he's worth the wait. Butter has been enjoying his birthday surprises, they keep arriving, my friends are the absolute best ever! Thanks for making such an incredible time for him!
so... on to the card....

Today I've got a thank you card.

I love how the four feather stamp are, so I decided to make a card using just one of the feathers so it would stand out. But you know me.... I love thank you cards! So I added the thank you for So Very Grateful (retired), in Memento Black, punched out using the Word Window punch.
I added a layer of Lost Lagoon, under and on top of my crisp Whisper White card stock and throw in a few sequins to have a simple, yet elegant thank you card!

Smile and Move Forward

So todays post is going to be another short and sweet one!
so today I've got another stamp from Unity Stamp Co. and I love how it looks in watercolor. I cut up the sentiment, and it fits perfectly!  The cardstock and linen thread is from Stampin' Up! My sequins are from Doodlebug. With a touch of Wink of Stella in the middle of the flowers!

Have a great day!

Good morning, yesterday was another interesting day in Oregon. It poured for a long time... I don't mind we really needed it! Hopefully it will help with drought this summer, and especially forest fires! I spent the afternoon on hangouts with my friend Laura.. we chatted as I made todays card. She is one of the coolest people, she loves crafting more than me... lol!!!  And while I have no doubt we will cruise the online retailers again today... it will be a case of window shopping only (yeah right)!

But before I share today's card, I'd like to share this weeks deals at Stampin' Up!

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Anyway my card today... is kinda funny the other day, another crafty person on FB asked if I'd done anything with the panda stamp of the week from Unity... I was like no, and then today I thought it would be prefect addition to my latest retail therapy session.

Cute and Simple card

So I was busy over the weekend... and was thinking "How can I make a quick card, with only one stamp?" so this is what I came up with....

I took out a few markers and one of my note cards, and a thank you sentiment...
I made my own flowers on the card and added the thanks afterwards.
After stamping my sentiment I went back and added a few more flowers.

So when you are short on time and need a card quick...
remember you can always draw some flowers, lines, boxes or anything (yes even stick figures)
for a cute and simple card.
