CYCI#72 A Sketch Challenge

Ok.... I'm back at Can You Case It? this week... and we got a sketch challenge going on...

I've got lot of fun stuff... for this weeks card! And I thought I'd challenge you to tell me what Stampin' Up! items did I use...  On my card base, I've splattered Wink of Stella in Gold and Black for my background and of course my sequins are Doodlebug, but not the string of sequins cause those are SU all the way! So now... Can You Case It?

psst! I used just the following
Butterfly Basics and Dies

Basic Black cardstock
Gold Emboss powder

Change is never easy

Hey its Monday... and a Holiday to remember those who aren't with us any more...
Last friday my Uncle Alex passed away, he lived a wonderful life, yes it came with ups and downs...
But he was a good man, and I will always remember him.

My card today is for the family he left behind
and to the family in heaven that we miss everyday.

We are imperfect, we have faults and make mistakes...
We aren't very good at saying we're sorry
and maybe it's because life has not been easy for us.

Love is the first thing you see on the card... its also the first thing we receive,
and the hopefully its the last thing we have before we die.

Inside the card is Unity Stamp Co sentiment
It reads

Is never easy.
You fight to
hold on and
you fight to let go.

So today I am grateful that I have Aunts and Uncles who loved me...
I am grateful that with God's grace I will live to see change, and fight and when it's time let go.

Today I'd also like to take a moment to thank
the people around the world for making it safer.
God Bless You

Thanks for stoppin by on this Memorial Day 2015

Saying Goodbye

Hey today I'm all over this last goodbye to the 2013-2015 In Colors

I have a crisp cantaloupe card base, with very vanilla layer along with Gold and Pistachio Pudding!
The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets Bloom with Hope (Hostess) in Baked Brown Sugar, and Wink of Stella... finished off with a  Sweet Dream Button embellishment and a bit of Linen Thread.

Friendly Shake

Okay so nothing new I did a shaker card... but what is new is that I did the stamping on photo pape!
I've tried this before and love it! The ink dries super fast, with little smudging, who doesn't love that!
I started with a cardbase in Delightful Dijon, photo paper and some Whisper White... then I stamp friendly wishes in memento ink, used my square collection of dies, along with a window sheet and colored it up with this years all new In Colors. (2015-2017). It turned out awesome, I added some seed beads and clear sequins so that you could still see the stamped area. I added some twine, burlap and gold sequin trim as a finishing touch.

Hello You Gift set

I started this project earlier this week... got sidetracked from posting it.. so here it is!

Here is the outside of the case... I used some of the newest Stampin' Up! products on it... and some not so new but I love the combination! A doily and Hello from Because You Care Stamp set.

the first thing I did was this journal in the new 2015-2017 In Colors Envelope Paper , Papillon Potpourri Stamp set for the super cute butterfly (and punch). I added a bit of cardstock in Mint Macaron, a doily and some whisper white baker's twine.
A treat bag, using the same products and a matching card... along with Mint Macaron ink.

I added four note cards with a bit of the envelope paper and the butterfly and Because You Care stamp set this time with a simple Thank You greeting.

Here is the pic with the gift set together...

Oh yeah, I only used 1 sheet of 12 x12 from the envelope paper to complete all of the projects.

I made this for a friend... I hope they like it!

Wow.... after a late night of watching movies with the hubby and Butter
I've finally doing my post for the day, I hope you don't mind!

So yep you guessed it I'm working with another of the new Stampin' Up! Stamp sets... this one is called Friendly Wishes... and has all kinds of super cute fonts and it's got lots of style!
So I used a bit of the all new Cherry on Top DSP 6x6 stack, along with some old favs! I've added some Wink of Stella, rhinestones, and AC hemp twine.

Here's a close up shot, where you can actually see the Wink of Stella, and the bow from my hemp twine.

New stamps and DSP

Well I recieve the itty bitty order I placed last weekend... and went to work on a card for today's post!
I hope you'll enjoy my card!

Here it is!

I didn't get the inks yet, so I used Crumb cake for the background stamp from You've Got This from Stampin' Up! 2015-2016 Annual Catty coming to you on June 2nd!
The set features two large stamps and a few sentiments! After stamping the flower I went over it in White Gel pen, and Wink of Stella!

I have a layer of DSP from the Cherry On Top 6x6 paper stack
Along with some Basic Black and Whisper White

OSAT Blog Hop - May Monochromatic

Welcome back to another OSAT Blog Hop!!!
I'm at the beginning of the hop, but if you are coming from Darla's and I know you've seen her wonderful creations for this months hop!

This month our theme is Monochromatic and I have something really special for you!

I started by picking from my selection of Project Life by Stampin' Up! kit Love Story!
I found this lovely wedding dress and a few other journaling cards from the collection, and adhering it to acetate sheet, and added the just married in the front, and lined flowers on the back, along with a few sequins from Doodlebug.

You can see the inside of the card (under layer) and
I love how the dress says it all...

Here is the back of the card, which I picked because I loved the idea of lines and flowers!

Now for my project, I made a gift tag, with a doily,
and some more of the Project Life journal cards and some cardstock.
I added some Whisper White Bakers twine and clear Wink of Stella to finish it off.

Up next is Justin and you're gonna love what he has in store for you!

I have cardstock from the On Trend, Niche! along with some Linen Thread from Stampin' Up!  And a slash of Wink of Stella in black

Thanks for stoppin' by,

Clouds a kite and thanks

It felt wonderful to get back to my crafty space, and I did a really neat card last night....
I grabbed my Kites & Clouds mini kit from Doodlebug (which I am totally in love with)...
and I grab a few of my Simon Says Stamp essentials...
Rectangle and Circle stitched dies, along with the
Hand Lettered Winter Wishes stamp set in Memento Black.
Along with cardstock in soft sky and whisper white from Stampin' Up!
to make this super cute and easy thank you card.

Smile in your heart

I'm back after taking a short break (two days off was too much!)
We've been super busy with getting Butter's school year done... he's down to the last 100 or so lessons, that need to be done before June 12... which is the end of the school for him and he will be done with his first half of 5th grade!

Today's card is all about fun, and color... something you don't normally see from me! :)
I started with a card base in Shimmery White cardstock from Stampin' Up!
Amazingly I used photo paper for my stamped image... and I love how it turned out. With Unity's new stamp of the week Smile in your heart in Memento Black and my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I added a couple of the papers from my Amy Tangerine paper pad from AC to give the card even more color! My finishing touch was s simple double bow in Basic Black Bakers Twine from SU.

Butterfly Branches

Good morning, its Monday again! Yesterday was our 12 wedding anniversary, sadly Bill was sick and in bed... but Butter and I went out for a quick bite to celebrate the occasion.  Bill and I will have a date when he is feeling better again.  I can't believe its been 12 years... when we first started dating, I never once thought where'd we be in 5 years much less 12. I'm happy to say, I wouldn't have it any other way... he is a kind and patient man, whom I love and couldn't live without... and each and everyday is a blessing beyond words!  Over the years we've grown together just like my card today... we started with nothing, and grew into something really beautiful...

When you look at the card, you'll notice a few things, colors sparkle and a simple word.... isn't it funny that that is how many relationships start... something as simple as "hello"!

I started todays project with Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up! and three hues in blue. Night of Navy, Soft Sky and Island Indigo, which I sponged over my new stencil from  Memory Box, its called bare branches. I used some vellum (SU) and the bitty butterfly punch also from Stampin' Up! to add to the bare branches, and added some Doodlebugs sequins in Blue Jean and some dollar rack clear sequins I got from somewhere (I don't remember, its been so long). My last step was to add some Wink of Stella to the butterflies, and the branches. This card is much prettier in person.. but still ever so fab pictured!  My card base is in Basic Gray(SU).

Here is a close up of the sentiment "Hello" from the Crazy About You stamp set from Stampin' Up!

As you can see... I totally love my Stampin' Up products but I also find simple accents and stencils to really make the SU products POP!!!
