Sleigh ride

Hey, I'm back with some of the latest products from Stampin' Up!
I've got their new die called Sleigh Ride and their silver cording trim, which I snagged off one of my projects from Stampin' Up! Convention that I recently attended!

I used some Crystal Effects and dabbed it on with a small paintbrush, to have a snowy effect and added just a touch of Crushed Curry Stampin' Write marker in to give the doors and windows a glowing effect. I splattered sliver Wink of Stella on my background... and used Thick Whisper White for my layers and base card.

I hope you love it as much as I do..

Ah wednesdays... Paper Craft Crew are perfect for the mid week pick up your crafty stuff and lets make a challenge card happen day!!!!  lol...

Well last week was incredible, seeing all of my crafty friends, and meeting new ones!
I got to see Tammy, Laura, Patty, Anita, James, Amanda, Pam and so many more it was wonderful... and I was so sad when it was over :( but we all had to get back to our lives and I know we are looking forward to the next gathering.

My card today... just says it all doesn't it.. While I was off celebrating anyones birthday.. I was certainly enjoying time with great friends...
My card for today's challenge is a super fun... you gotta love it kind of card!
It has Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White (regular and thick) and Basic Black!
I started with Dots for Days a background stamp from the 2015 Stampin' Up catalog.. you're gonna want it!!!  I also used Balloon Bash for the large image in Memento Black and Bermuda Bay  inks...which I stamped twice, once in BB and the other In Memento.. and fussy cut it to give my take a bit of tada!!! I hope it worked!  Then we have the Black stitched satin ribbon, and some bakers twine in whisper white!  I've got some accents like the balloon and candle, but if you look close you'll see the two banner edges right behind the candle. lol... I'm sneaky like that!

Well I'm glad I can share my blog with you.. and I hope you'll leave some love!

Its that time... Paper Craft Crew challenge and its awesome!!!

Wow... can you believe its Wednesday already...
I am so excited today is the start of my adventure!!!
More about that tomorrow...

My card is so cute!

This sketch was hard for me... I wanted to use the new Everyday Chic DSP... and I fell in love with the little heart sheet, that I had to use it,especially today!  Tomorrow is my mom's 70th birthday, and this post is for her... She is a totally amazing person, and I can say that cause she's my mom!
I love how lovely black, white and yellow look together.. although recently I put some other colors together and they look fabulous too! lol.. Anyway... I've got the everyday chic dsp as I mentioned, and some retired daffodil delight seam binding ribbon, along with whisper white, basic black, and daffodil delight cardstock for today's card.  I used a few stamps... Crazy About You, All Boxed Up, Big News, and Gorgeous Grunge... yup that makes four different sets on the littlest areas :) Kinda makes ya smile, doesn't it!

Well I'm off... got some big things going on today,
wish me luck and I'll post again soon!

yeah my first Newton's Nook stamps

Okay... so today in the mail I got this super cute stamp set from Newton's Nook.. isn't it adorable?

I've got Simon Says Stamp Ultra Thick White cardstock 120lbs as my base card
(which is perfect by the way), then I got to work with Spring Showers from Newton's Nook along with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers and Memento Black ink...  I used lilacs on the boots and umbrella, and lots of yellows and oranges on the duck itself.  I went through my dies and picked Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle dies, I stamped the sentiment... and that was it! For my finishing touch I added Wink of Stella clear to all the raindrops and umbrella top.

Well thats it for today.. come back tomorrow and
check out what I've got for my CYCI design team card!

FMS194 a sketch by Linda

Hey I'm back at Freshly Made Sketches this week...
with a very cool sketch by Linda

They say you can't win if you don't try, I think they're wrong!
All too often we get caught up in winning that we don't look at the big picture, the enjoyment from making something handmade from someone else!  I love what I do... and win or lose, I'm still gonna make another card tomorrow, and the day after that too!  Although winning doesn't hurt... lol...

Yumm, I love my new stamps from Lawn Fawn, called Treat Yourself!!!!
I got started by coloring in my ice cream and lid... I went with Chocolate Chip (see the chips) colors using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Memento black ink.  I did my sentiment in Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip ink.. and made a little banner with it. Then I started on my shaker card, using my square dies I cut the area that I wanted for it, then I added Doodlebug sequins and Simon Says Stamp seed beads. My paper pad is Carta Bella's Soak up the Sun, and I added some Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi cardstock for the under layer and base, then I grabbed my Whisper White Baker's twine to finish off my project.

Hey I wanted to take a moment to mention... my friends Andrea, Justin, Tina, and the gang are all part of the the OSAT Blog Hop, which starts at 6:30AM ...check out the hop!

Its wednesday and that means Paper Craft Crew
and a new sketch challenge!!!

Okay... so I didn't follow the sketch 100% but its my take on it... I switched the places of the embellishment and sentiment and it works! I think thats one of the things I love about sketches, is that each of us will see it differently.. its a short story, just waiting for someone to enjoy it!

I've got just a few simple elements to my card today, and I think you'll love it!
Basic Black card base and layering, whisper white layers,  with a dash of Wink of Stella (non SU) and the incredible You've Got this stamp in Yellows and a touch of greens.. done in Stampin' Write markers! Yup... markers!!!  I've also got a few candy dots yellow (subtles) and the Typeset DSP.

Well thats all for today.. enjoy your day until next time

My summer 3 by 3

okay so I put this together while Skyping with Laura tonight.. just a quick 3 by 3 on Watermelon Wonder cardstock by Stampin' Up! The top layer and die cuts are done on Simon white 120 lbs cardstock.

coloring my Lawn Fawn stamps with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers, I just wish I had the rest of the set, so I could do a better job... oh well... I also used Stampin' Up! Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi for the sky and grassy areas on my top layer. Everything was stamped in Memento Black, and corrections with my white Signo Gel pen.  I give my ant layer a lift with some fun foam that I cut with the matching Ant die from Lawn Fawn as well...  As my final touch I added a few of my Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear cupped sequins.

Just wanted to do a quick project tonight...
cause the Lawn Fawn set was to cute not too, and
my Pretty Pink Posh sequins require daily use! lol...

A special birthday card

Okay... you know those days where you have most of the pieces of a puzzle together, and you spend time looking for the missing pieces? Yup this card and me had one of those... I showed it to the hubby... he said it was off...  Bells and Whistles are going off in my head... I need a third opinion (the first was mine) so I went to the one person I knew could tell me if what the hubby thought was correct.. I mean the hubby being right... about my card??? Crazy right.... not so much!  So I instant message my friend Justin on fb and show him the card... he says about the same thing... Now I know there's a problem... Then I find Tammy online... and she said the same thing, okay... thank goodness for adhesives removers :)
Thanks for helping me out Justin and Tammy!!!

Well after reworking a bit of the card... you see the final product... some card have a happy ending, even from the beginning while others... well.. don't!

I tried a new stamp today... hot off the UPS truck... I started with Art Impressions unmounted stamp Fire Out set... you'll see the sentiment in the lower right hand corner and started grabbing for my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, and got to work.  My paper pad is from Studio Calico, from the wanderlust collection.. which maybe old but its new to me... and I just love it!  I also used Stampin' Up! Endless Birthday Wishes, in Memento Black ink... okay so pretty much all the black ink is Memento.. my cardstock is Simon 120lb thick cardstock and my sequins are from Doodlebug!!! Oh yeah, I also used stitched rectangles for the paper pad layer, and some Wink of Stella on the glasses, shoes and hair! !

This card is going to someone very special very soon...
cause their birthday is next week... heck I'm going to to hand deliver it!

In other news... convention is not to far off..
just 15 more day (counting tomorrow)
I can't wait to see all my friends -crafty people!

Well thanks for stoppin' by

Hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July!!!

I decided to turn the sketch, and it looks awesome!
I busted out my favorite new stamp set for this one... You've got this by Stampin' Up!
I went simple just Memento Black ink, with a touch of Mossy Meadow in the stems. I also used Mossy Meadow for my cardbase, along with some kraft cardstock. I added in some thick twine that I have from a kit...  and yup thats it! I hope you like it

Late last night I did a second card, cause I loved the sketch so much!

So this card is using some of my recent purchases from Pretty Pink Posh using the 10mm Metallic Silver Sequins, Simple Stories Enchanted paper pad, AC twine & Stampin' Up! Whisper White Baker's twine, along with some Sequins from Doodlebug in Limeade. I used a 1 3/4 circle punch in white, with Pear Pizzazz ink, and sentiment from Unity Stamp Co, Smile in your heart stamp set.
My cardstock is Stampin' Up! in Whisper White Thick, and Pink Pirouette.

Thats all.. for today!!

So yeah I made a fish tank... with tons of seed beads from Simon Says Stamp
Doodlebug sequins and the wood grain kraft paper too

My twine is from AC... in coral :)
Cardstock is from Stampin' Up!
I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Of course there's ink in there too...
Pool Party, Island Indigo from SU and Memento Black

Now the back of the tank is done with sponging pool party and island indigo on white cardstock, then I used Ranger Texture on the Garden Bare Branches from Memory Box to give the tank a bit of sea look... the branches are really cool up close!

Oh my gosh how cute was Tina's card?
Welcome back! I'm back at ICS this month and wow did I miss everyone!

Well I'm next and I've got a really simple and cute card, which is totally my style!

Then I added a layers of Basic Gray and Whisper White, along with the "Friends" sentiment from Garden in Bloom in Memento Black. I did my butterfly in Vellum and Delightful Dijon and added a sequin from Doodle Bug.. and finished it up with some Gold twine.

Up next is Claudia, I'm sure she has something fabulous, lets go see what she's got!
