Without you

I got my order in from Unity Stamp Co. which was really cool,
cause I won a contest involving a digi image with a Pig, it was utterly cute!

This is just one of the stamps that I purchased.. its called Falling Heart which you can pick up here!
I used some of my Smokey Slate cardstock from Stampin' Up! along with various inks as well.
I did a water color wash for the background.
I used my Memento Ink on the image and sentiment.
I added some Pretty Pink Posh and Doodlebug Sequins
and Simon Says Stamp Rectangle Stitched dies to complete my card!

Well thats about it... until next time

Lawn Fawn Spooktacular

My first card done with Lawn Fawn Spooktacular stamp set! It was super fun!
Then I used various inks and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
I did not have the dies that go with them, so fussy cutting to the rescue!
I heat embossed the sentiment

Just a quick post for today....

Until next time,

CYCI#84 A Sketch by Elizabeth

Sunday and that means its time for CYCI... and some creative fun!
This week Elizabeth given us a great sketch, and the design team has outdone themselves!
CYCI is growing again, and thanks to the response to our open call, we've got new design team members you'll be meeting! So don't forget to head over to CanYouCaseIt.com

My design today is pretty simple, I busted into my new cardstock from Doodlebug, Rainbow assortment 8 1/2 by 11 textured. I used a brown called Chocolate Chip! It contains 48 different colors for anything you could want to make!  Doodlebug offer other color combo as well!
The paper stack today is from Echo Park, Bundle of Joy with soft pinks in various patterns, loves it bad!!!  Next I went through my Stampin' Up! stash and grabbed my retired Baby We've Grown stamp set and some twine that was part of a tag and bag kit.  I also used my Early Espresso ink for the sentiment.  I used my Baby's First dies from Sizzix. Last thing I added was two mini clothespins and some Doodlebug sequins, and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins too!

I also want to take a moment and thank Billie Moan for all the love and amazing creations she's shared with us over the past year... I'm gonna miss her and her team designs!
'til next time...

Posh Yeti Shaker

Hey good morning...
Today's card is all about last years stamp Yeti, Set, Go! from Lawn Fawn
and Pretty Pink Posh sequins and seed-beads!
I also used PPP die Stitched Film Strip for my shaker!
I went really clean, with blues for the sentiment and snowflakes!
My Yeti was done in Spectrum Noir and a Signo pen!
Cardstock is Simon Says Stamp 120lbs white

Have a wonderful Day

Til next time,

That took balls

Okay, like most funny or good great stories... there is something or someone behind it..  today I've using a stamp I was ordered to use, not for customer, but for a bestie... who gave me the stamp back in May for my unbirthday and I just never got around to using it! I know shame on me... leaving a poor little stamp alone! Bad Eva... true that! Well... NO MORE!!!  It was thoroughly used!

So Andrea this is for you and only you... all of the giggles, and oohs and aahs belong to you!

I started with my lonely Unity Stamp set Balls to You...
A lot of my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
(there's yellows, purples, blue (lol) reds and grays...
on this simple shaker card!

I added some of the very pretty and very sparkly Pretty Pink Posh sequins in there...
I wanted all of the shaker elements to stand out... and they do!
By using Sparkling Clear sequins you can see it worked!

I used Wink of Stella in Gold and Silver on the background in my fav splattered!
And repeatedly stamped "that took Balls" on the background as well! tehe...

I used my Simon Says Stamp Stitch Rectangle dies, clear film,
some foam tape and my imagination to come up with a clean and cool card!

Anyway... its like 1:24 am here in Oregon.. time to get some rest.. see you all in a few hours!

Oh and I'm entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp Blog Anything goes challenge! and while I didn't have any Hero Arts products in my project, I did use my Simon Says Stamp 120 lbs cardstock and Stitched Dies! :P

Until next time,

Hey welcome back, Paper Craft Crew has some incredible inspiration cards for you!
Here's mine, isn't it adorbs!

I started with a Soft Sky (Stampin' Up!) card base, and some 120 lbs Simon Says Stamp white cardstock for my main layer with splatter of Wink of Stella . I love shakers as you all know and this card is no different... I used the star dies from Sizzix and the paper pad is from Stampin' Up! is Cherry on Top, which I used around the star, and the little banner (yellow). I used Doodlebug sequins and Simon Says Stamp seed beads.
The last thing I did was stamp the woohoo from SU - Big News, add a few candy dots in Brights and a bow!

Flip Flop

did a really quick card today... I had the background splatter ink wash done a few days back.. and decided to put it to use!  So I pulled out the August Simon Says Stamp kit and went to work.

Part of the kit had Martha Stewart hearts and stars glitter, its more of a micro sequins but I didn't name it! But the one I got was called Blueberry slush.. and while I'm not a huge Martha fan, this glitter (sequins) is to die for!

The kits also came with a Gelly Roll pen, LOVE it... need I say more? anywho... I covered the flip flops in it, and smudged it, to get a thin even layer over the FF.  My ink of choice is Memento Tux Black, which pretty much works in any of my card making needs! White cardstock is Simon Says Stamp, and Black cardstock is Stampin' Up!

Well... you try and have a flip flop Monday... I know I will!

Til next time

CYCI#83 Back to School Edition

Wow... can you believe it... its that time again... in some states kids are already back, but here in Oregon we don't until after labor day!

I got started by grabbing my Simple Stories Smarty Pants paper stack, and selected a few pieces to use for my card today! Then I grabbed my Unity Stamp Co. Birdie Conversation stamp set, and fell in love with the "We are cheering you on" sentiment along with a birdie and flag, which I colored in with my Spectrum Noir Markers.  I added some yarn and a few sequins to finish off my card!
My card base is Cherry Cobbler from Stampin' Up!

Now this is a celebration! Freshly Made Sketches has reached the 200th challenge,
and its quite the milestone.  Congrats to the FMS design team!

As I looked through the sponsors cards, I saw a few crafty friends and CYCI very own designer Tenia's card too for one of the other teams she's on!!!
Wow.. what an honor to be included in on the fun!

I love the sketch, super simple and I kept true to the nature of the sketch!
Most of the products I used in todays card is from Simon Says Stamp!
I changed up a bit with a journal pen on the main image of the stripes, which are from SSS Sailing stamp set, and the sentiment is from Birthday Messages 3x4. I went for clean and simple, with just the Moonshine sequins also from Simon Says Stamp. My ink are Memento Black, and Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo which is a fav of my cousin who introduced me to stamping a few years back.

Well its time to get moving... I've had fun joining in this week!

Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!

SSS Friend

So I've been lazy, crazy and super buzy... but I had time to get a card done tonight.

I started by inking up some white card stock. With yellows, blues and a touch of green from Stampin' Up! reInkers.  Then I ran it through the big shot using my Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles using the two largest dies. I used my new August kit stamp set Flip Flop Season for my sentiments, both are inked with Memento Black. I cut out the friend word, added a couple of pieces of foam tape from SSS. and added a card base. My final touches were some SSS, Doodlebug and Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Then hit the whole card with some Black Wink of Stella and voila!

Paper Craft Crew Challenge 158

Its time for Paper Craft Crew and this sketch is like wow!
Pam has some mad sketch skills and I love it!

Okay,, I started with a smokey slate card base from Stampin' Up! cardstock, along with Early Espresso, So Saffron and lots of ink pads to do the filling in on color. I used my White Christmas set to make the trees, sentiment and then my Perpetual Birthday Calendar set (yep again). The tiny leaf stamp was perfect to fill in my trees for a fall look... I used daubers for the background sky colors in soft sky and pink pirouette.  I added simple elements for my circles in the sketch, went with candy dots in smokey slate to round out the colors. Last I added some trim for the bow.

This week I did the sketch for CYCI#82...

This week has been long, sad and exciting.. all together!
Butter is working hard to finish up his math book ... he's done over 6 chapters in just two weeks!  Writing is still a challenge to him, and I gotta laugh, cause I love to write! I will share some of that sometime soon!
Anyway.. here's my card and have a wonderful Sunday!

While I was working on another project and chatting with my friend Andrea on facetime, I had some pieces layin' out so I took one from that, and added it to this one!

Yup, the star!  I grabbed some think cardstock for my base and then went through my designer paper... and picked the decorative tattered boards from Studio Calico Wanderlust pad. along with some vellum and cherry cobbler from Stampin' Up!

I used the vintage set Lots of Thanks for my sentiment in Bermuda Bay. My barn star is in early espresso and Sizzix star dies with Wink of Stella Gold for the simmer.. I added some gold thread (from the sewing area of Joann's) and I finished it with Doodlebug Sequins!

Thanks for the inspiration Andrea!

:) Eva

So Karren did this fabulous sketch, and since its one before the big one.. I had to give it a try!

My card today is for my bestie Laura, whose world was recently turned upside down, with the death of her mother. While I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I know she was one of the most important people in this world to Laura... and that's all that matters!

I've got  a simple design today... The main stamped image is from Unity Stamp Co. and its called Lift me Up! I colored it in soft grays, yellows and a bit of blue. Sequins are from Simon Says Stamp (Clear) and Doodlebug (pale blue). The I miss you tag is from Jen Hadfield, which I turned upside down, for Laura... I've got a 3 1/2 by 5 inch card base, with Smoky Slate on the bottom edge to mirror the sketch!

I hope my design will make you think about how much life can quickly change in the blink of an eye.. and that those we cherish can leave us, without saying goodbye!

Love you Laura!

OSAT Blog Hop - Back to School

Oh my gosh, Maggie outdid herself! Loved it!

Well its been a bit since I the last time I had a chance to hop... this month is really cool, so I couldn't pass it up!
My card and 3d project is part me and part SVG the little school house is from a file I picked up, and printed out, then colored with my Spectrum Noir, then cut out! Anyway... here we go!

You can see my SVG Schoolhouse, that I printed out, then I added sequins from Simon Says Stamp, Doodlebugs Designs (and mini paper clips) and Pretty Pink Posh. I used the Teacher dies from SSS in black cardstock. My cardbase is Real Red, from Stampin' Up! and the white card stock is too!

This school house pencil holder box had lots of parts... the svg I bought, came in jpg and svg, so I grabbed the printable copy and ran it through my printer with regular white card stock, then went to work on coloring them with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I cut all the pieces out and glued it all in place, I added the pencil box. My granddaughter Noelle will be giving it to her 1st grade teacher!
The box was made using some of the designer paper!

Here are both my card and project!

Up next is Justin, this is gonna be exciting, lets go see what he has in store for us!

I'm glad I had a chance to hop with you all today!
Thanks again, and until next time!

SSS August Kit Shaker Card

Okay, I've been getting the monthly kits from Simon since Dec, of last year. however this is the first time I will add something to their card kit gallery. Yeah, so here we go!

I started by taking out all the goodies in the August Simon Says Stamp Monthly kit, and looking over the different products.  I selected my cardbase shimmer cardstock Tropical Bay, then I grabbed my Simple Stories designer paper called Summer Vibes, the one  lite wood with words.. I loved all the different sentiments on it   I took out my Stitched Rectangles and created the window for my shaker card. I masked off the area, Inked up the Hello from the Flip Flop Season stamp set, then colored it in Spectrum Noir True Black,  along with a few of the stars from the Summertime" Pillow Puffs Stickers by October Afternoon and splattered my Wink of Stella in Gold and Silver on it!  I then added tons of seed beads and my Assorted Moonshine sequins in, then added foam tape to create the shaker part!  I added the Summer Story puffy word sticker and the yellow star for a finishing touch.

Here's a close up of all the fun going on in this shaker!

FMS198 a sketch by Cindy L

Okay.. you know the deal, I'm checking out FMS today and Cindy has an outstanding sketch for us.
So I went to work and here's what I've come up with!
I've got some older(ish) stamps from Simon Says Stamp.

and some card stock from Simon too... and stuff from Stampin' Up! too

I started by cutting my cardstock, white 120lb two pieces, and my base, in Fog Gray and the Bazzill Velvet (strip of Purple) on a background of Midnight (Black). I stamped my images in Memento Black.  My other ink is Blackberry Bliss and Smoky Slate from Stampin' Up! and my sequins are Simon Says Stamp Assorted Moonshine (Clear, mixed sizes) . Of course I could not make a card, without a splash of Wink of Stella, which I painted onto the strips on the second layer (see the stripes on the left side) ohh it sparkles, perfect!

At the last minute, I decided to add a ribbon closure, and I think it finishes it off perfectly!

CYCI#81 A Color Challenge

Well its sunday and that mean Can You Case It? and this week we have a color challenge, the colors were picked by Billie Moan!

I started with white cardstock, and layered Tim Holtz tissue wrap, and some Ranger Texture Paste in Transparent Gloss... and three reInkers from Stampin' Up! in Blackberry Bliss for my purple, Lost Lagoon for my Blue, and Cucumber Crush for my green.
I mixed drops of the ink with the texture paste, and covered the tissue wrap. After it dried, I added the bricked stencil (with Ranger Texture Paste) and dabbed it to add some extra pizzazz...
I let it dry and then started on my sentiment in the Take Care of You stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. on vellum, in Stazon Black, to finish it off I put some pearls and buttons along with thread shaped like petals from a flower and splattered some Wink of Stella in silver on top. I added a Simon Says Stamp 120 lbs card base.

Here's a close up of the texture.

Kids Summer Vacation Challenge at Simon Says Stamp!!!

Crafting with my grandkids and Butter proved to be exciting and fun!

I started by cutting a bunch of card stock for the little ones, Butter can do it on his own!
Just so they'd have plenty of things to make
in the end, Noelle made two cards, one with stamps and one with washi tape. Kaylee made one card covered in pink butterflies and a hand scribbled note inside and Butter made a shark card with products from Newton's Nook.

So here are their cards along with some of the stuff they used!

Up first we have Kaylee... I totally loved her card!

Kaylee added some washi at the end, it is beautiful beyond words!
