Irresistible Inking Techniques was an interesting class. I've done many of the tips shared, but I was surprised at how long ago I put it to practical use. So I grabbed some cardstock and got crafty!
I used the ink block technique from class for today's project. I started with Sea Glass, which is soft and gorgeous! I also added some splatters in Desert Night before stamping my butterflies and sentiment both from the Bamboo Rose set. I watercolor washed the bold yellow tones from the Pocket of Sunshine ink cube set, using Fresh Lemon and Honey Drizzle. I mounted my card front onto a foam base to secure it firmly and it adds dimension as well. Lastly, I added a touch of Gold Wink of Stella, gave some details to the butterflies by drawing on it with a Gel pen in white and mounted it on a blue cardbase from Hero Arts.
On a personal note: Today is day 4 without social media, I'm not gonna lie it been super hard not to go see what all my crafty friends and family have been up too, but I've got 6 more days until I complete my goal of 10 days. I miss you all, and can't wait until March 1st. I've also been working on my final, for my Business Law class... another challenge! Anywho... I hope you've enjoyed my card and if you want to learn more about this class check out Altenew Academy and all the classes they have to offer! Until next time Eva
